LYRICS:

Let me tell y’all
Time stood still in Renfro Valley Kentucky
Where the people live and laugh and love
Entertainment’s great
Near the old home place
In Renfro Valley Kentucky
Where the livin’ is fine
And the laughin’ is full
And the lovin’ is fun!
(Oh Yeah)

You’ll see real country music shows in Renfro Valley Kentucky
You’ll slap your knees
And tap your toes
Down in the valley
At the new barn shows
(Where everyone goes)

Long time ago
A man named John Lair
Started the barn dance
In Renfro Valley
For the people to
Live and laugh and love
They had Red Foley, Old Joe Clark
Ricky Skaggs and Exile
Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless
The Judds and
The Coon Creek Girls
(All from Kentucky)

There’s a really great show
Started by John Lair
Called the “Renfro Valley Gathern”
Where Country Charlie talks to
Fun people who play fine music

Dolly Parton told it best!
When somethin’ like this
’Bout Renfro Valley Kentucky
“You ain’t nothin’ honey, Till you’re asked to play at Renfro Valley”
(Oh Yeah)

Y’all sing it
Time stood still in Renfro Valley Kentucky
Where the people
Live and laugh and love
Entertainment’s great near the old home place in
Renfro Valley Kentucky
Where the livin’ is fine
And the laughin’ is full
And the lovin’ is fun (Oh Yeah)

You’ll see real country music shows in Renfro Valley Kentucky
You’ll slap your knees
And tap your toes
Down in the valley
At the new barn shows
(Where everyone goes)

Y’all come!
